With summer almost here it is hard to go past this stunning harbourside location that is home to Plonk! Beach Café. It provides a unique combination of beautiful fresh food, crystal clear turquoise water, a sandy beach and entertainment for the kids.
Boaties on Sydney Harbour have the ability to pull up on the beach or grab a berth and enjoy many options from a take away coffee to a long lazy lunch that could include a fresh seafood platter and a bottle of cold crisp wine. You can either eat in or have your meal delivered to your boat. Even Fido is welcome! A bowl of fresh water and a cool spot on the grass under the tree is the perfect answer for a relaxing day out with your furry friend. Plonk! Beach Café is open for breakfast and lunch every day and Thursday to Saturday for dinner with Thursday being ‘BYO’ day for lunch and dinner.
The café has undergone a makeover with the bright new furnishings giving the café a new lease of life while maintaining the casual relaxed atmosphere. By covering the deck area larger functions can now be accommodated making it the perfect venue for a wedding reception, birthday celebration or corporate function.
The recent refurbishment bought a touch of glamour to this stunning harbourside location last week with around 110 local ladies enjoying a fashion show held at Plonk Beach Café. Verve Boutique, situated in Balgowlah Heights, hosted the event showing off their summer range and accessories and the bubbles were flowing courtesy of local fine wines supplier ABF Wines.
Kristen Josue, Verve’s owner said “we had a great day, we were so lucky with the weather and the venue is superb, right on the water. My seven models are all local girls and mums and they all looked stunning.”
The fashion show raised money for Australian Charity, Life Aid International from locally donated products and was such a success it is tipped to become an annual event.
