For over three years Tohatsu Australia and Alphaboats having been supporting the sport of sailing through generous sponsorship of Yachting New South Wales.

Through this sponsorship Tohatsu Australia has just updated the engines on Yachting New South Wales’ two Alphaboats RIBS. The new motors, 70/115hp, are the new direct injection economical and compact TLDI outboards that are simple in design with excellent horsepower to weight rations and top of the line performance. Tohatsu TLDI outboards provide the environmental offerings of four strokes, whilst never compromising the powerful running of two strokes.

The two Alphaboats RIBS are used by clubs and classes to assist in running major events including training programmes.  The boats and engines are put through real workouts also being used for Yachting New South Wales events including safety boat and instructor courses, winter training and class development programmes, and emerging talent programmes.

“One of the main priorities of Yachting New South Wales is to introduce people to the sport of sailing. Industry support is extremely important to us in this regard and the ongoing support from Tohatsu and Mike Goddard at Lakeside Marine makes our role that much more effective.”  Andrew Cribb, Yachting New South Wales Development Manager

Tohatsu has a wide range of outboard engines available in 4-stroke and 2-stroke and in the new TLDI range. For details go to www.tohatsu.com.au
