Twin Disc (Pacific) is expanding its distribution organisation in New Zealand, appointing Pacific Driveline to market a range of the company’s new products, including the Express Joystick System (EJS).
Glenn Frettingham, Managing Director of Twin Disc (Pacific), said Pacific Driveline would market and distribute BCS marine steering, trim tabs, thrusters and EJS. Pacific Driveline would also become Twin Disc agents for Seakeeper Gyro Stabilizers.
Pacific Driveline (PDL) has represented traditional Twin Disc products such as transmissions and electronic controls in New Zealand for nearly 10 years.
Mark Power, Managing Director of PDL, visited Australia recently to trial the new Express Joystick System and Seakeeper gyro aboard a Maritimo C60.
“EJS is an extraordinary system,” he said. “I have driven a lot of boats with a range of drive systems, but never anything as good as EJS. We are excited to be representing the products in New Zealand.”
Mr Power said the addition of EJS and the BCS products to the offerings of PDL and also Henleys would provide clients with very attractive options.
“We also tested the Seakeeper gyro during our visit to Australia. The stability has the effect of being on a multihull. Combined with EJS in particular, the Seakeeper gyro is going to make boating attractive to a wider market; people who are concerned about manoeuvring a large boat and those who are uncomfortable in a rolling boat.”
