Twin Disc will offer on-water demonstrations of its unique Express Joystick System (EJS) during the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show this year.
The Managing Director of Twin Disc (Pacific), Glenn Frettingham, said the new system would be available for active demonstrations throughout the four-day show on a Maritimo C60 Sports Cabriolet.
EJS revolutionizes docking and slow speed manoeuvring of diesel powered, conventional shaft-drive boats.
Utilising Twin Disc’s patented Quickshift transmission and EC300 control technology, the joystick offers fingertip control of the boat’s direction and speed instantaneously and intuitively.
The EJS smoothly and simultaneously actuates and controls engines, transmissions and thrusters. The joystick allows a skipper effortless control in any direction, even to pivot the boat on its own axis.
According to Twin Disc, performance dramatically exceeds any other propulsion system.
Gold Coast luxury boat builder Maritimo is actively promoting the system to its clients and now reports that close to 40 percent of all orders for its shaft-drive boats now have Twin Disc EJS as a specified option.
Maritimo Marketing Director Luke Durman said: “16 of our 18 models are shaft drive and the EJS system gives our customers the ease of joystick control and the confidence of shafts; the best of both worlds.”
The Maritimo C60 equipped with the Express Joystick System will be on display at the outer end of F arm throughout the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show. Demonstrations will be conducted by appointment.
