The gates will open on south-east Queensland’s biggest 4×4 and fishing event on March 19 when the Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show and National 4×4 and Outdoors Expo commences at the RNA Showgrounds.

After setting a new crowd attendance record in 2009, organisers have expanded the program and space taken for this year’s event which will see an additional 2 pavilions with over 210  exhibitors between the two shows.

“This year’s National 4×4 and Outdoors Expo is without a doubt going to be the biggest seen in the history of the Queensland event,” Petersen said, “And we’ve got more exhibitors than ever who will display the latest four wheel drives and accessories along with everything to get you into the great outdoors including camper trailers and tents for your next big off-road adventure.”

“We’ve welcomed a number of new exhibitors including EGR Group, MSA 4×4, Speedliner, Trak Shak & XL Service Bodies, many of whom have already indicated that they will be offering some huge discounts on purchases so it really is the time to buy that new car or tent.

“Other new attractions at the Expo include Burnie the Brisbane Lions mascot who will have a range of activities for the kids along with the purpose built Showtime Yamaha FMX Rhino which after wowing crowds all over the nation will be at the National 4×4 and Outdoors Expo for the first time ever.

“We’ll be building Brisbane’s biggest remote control car track which will host regular demonstrations featuring four wheel drive remote control cars along with the All Terrain Challenge, Loveday 4wd Show, along with the return of the Browns Grafix Mini Moto Team which is always entertaining.”

Likewise, Jason Plant from Marine Queensland said the Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show has also seen a huge 30 percent increase in exhibitors for this year’s event.

“We’ve had a number of new exhibitors sign up for this years event with many stating that they have heard it is the best show of it’s kind in Australia,” Plant said, “This combined with the success of last year’s event saw us sell out of exhibition space months in advance forcing us into another building.”

“The event will also feature the largest range of new boats seen in the history of the show with heaps of new models and two vessels, the Black Watch 22 and Tournament 2050 Walkaround being revealed to the public for the first time ever.

“We’ve also got a range of attractions including the Humminbird Queensland Open with up to 20 teams from across the country weighing in their catch at the Club Marine Fishing Expo Stage at 2pm daily.  There is also the return of the Sports Fishin’ Simulator and the Fishing Expo which features local fisherman who will provide you with valuable tips and hints for fishing in the Brisbane region.

“The Show really has been designed for the whole family with the 4BC Kids Fishing Clinic conducted all weekend and Berkeley Kids Fishing Show also part of the Fishing Expo stage.”
