West RIBs announces auction of boating stock.

West RIBs, one of Australia’s largest inflatable boat dealers, has announced it will hold an auction on June 27th to reduce its stockholding prior to the end of the financial year and to alleviate its current storage difficulties. This will result in the largest boat auction to ever be held in Perth.

The auction will provide West Australian boating enthusiasts the opportunity to take advantage of the depressed prices in the national recreational boating market. A large variety of vessels from 2m up to 13m including luxury tenders, centre consoles, sports cruisers will be put on the block on June 27th.

Recreational boat sales in Western Australia remain relatively buoyant compared to the Eastern states although considerable downward pressure has been placed on pricing.

The company reported an expected increase in forth quarter sales activity compared to FY08.  “We feel that now is an opportune time to refine our stockholding while consumers are actively seeking to avail themselves of the depressed market” explained West RIBs Managing Director; Chris Castle.

It is anticipated that over 25 vessels will be offered representing a variety of brands including Mustang, Falcon and Gulf Craft.
