Windy Boats to launch new 31 Zonda

Windy Boats has announced the development of a sleek new model – the Windy 31 Zonda.

A stylish and fast weekender, the 31 Zonda celebrates the glory days of the deep-vee hull while embracing state-of-the-art construction methods and an exclusive interior design.

Featuring a spacious and sheltered cockpit and a performance-oriented helm position the Zonda concept is one of an elegant vessel with electrifying performance and the very highest quality and finish – a boat that belongs at the most glamorous waterfronts of the world.

Graaf Marine’s Rob de Graaf said this new model would be a fantastic weekender for Australians with so many short-hop destinations available up and down our coasts.

“This is a design with a really classic look but one that will have superb performance,” Mr de Graaf said.

“The combination of precision high-performance and the beautiful design and finish means it will appeal to ardent performance enthusiasts and boating style seekers equally… this boat will turn heads wherever it goes and whatever it does.”

Designed around the needs of an overnighting couple, the Windy 31 Zonda has simple and elegant accommodation comprising a double cabin with a large bed, generous shower room and a neat galley. The spacious cockpit has luxurious seating and a large sun-lounge aft.

The interior is designed by award-winning superyacht design firm Eidsgaard Design. Coupled with Windy Boats’ renowned craftsmanship and boatbuilding heritage, the 31 Zonda is designed to capture hearts and heads with its timeless style and underlying quality.

Powered by single or twin Volvo sterndrives, the Zonda has up to a maximum of 440hp available. Together with Windy’s first-class hull design and boatbuilding techniques, the 31 has immense strength and significant weight savings resulting in sustained, high-speed cruising capability.

The name Zonda, as with all Windy Boats models names, is derived from a wind. The warm, dry ‘viente zonda’ is a wind blowing down from the Andes in Argentina.

The Windy 31 Zonda starts at AU$315,000 including delivery to Australia.
