World class marine services at downunder rates.
The advanced Sydney City Marine maintenance facility is scheduled to open later this year at Rozelle Bay. While the complex will showcase world class technology when it comes to lifting capacity, painting facilities and on-site services, boater owners will be surprised to see how competitively priced it will be.
There will be a 600 tonne shiplift, a 100 ton shiplift and a 47 tonne submersible trailer ensuring efficient movement of craft out of the water and onto the 6200m² of open hard stand area or 3200m2 of undercover hardstand.
Painting can be done in purpose built booths 38m long and 15m wide, with a second booth 15m by 7m. With some of the latest painting technology including sophisticated air extraction and filtration systems, they will provide an optimum environment for coatings to be applied. That adds up to cost savings by minimising delays due to bad weather, reduced wastage of expensive paint coatings and less time out of the water.
Trades and contractors will include mechanical engineers, stainless steel fabrication, shipwrights, riggers, spray painters, electrical, marine diving & salvage, trimmers, detailers, engine servicing and repair, all on the one site. The Sydney City Marine complex will also include a marine coatings & consumables supplier and chandlery, so essential supplies will be on hand where and when they’re needed.
While Sydney City Marine will have the capability to handle superyachts up to 55 m and a beam of 13m, the same quality of servicing will be readily accessible to the everyday boat owner.
Competitive pricing will ensure owners of craft 10m and above, both power and sail, can enjoy the same services as the world’s elite all at readily accessible rates.
